If you don’t have the expertise in house to do this, you will need to engage an external provider. A high-quality branding consultant will have years of experience, will put in a strong position to grow, and will not distract your internal team who are already busy.
I try to make the process as efficient as possible, and don’t draw anything out. You get a high-quality output relatively fast compared to other providers. I also don’t charge additional money to contract in a copywriter or brand designer, you pay the same price going through me if you went straight to them. This centralises the process while not costing you more. It’s a great outcome without the big agency overhead. I also have a scientific degree, meaning that I bring a rigour to brand that is rare.
It depends on which individual or company you are talking to. There is unlikely to be much difference, it is generally semantics.
The main difference is generally the number of stakeholders that need to be involved with businesses of different sizes, it simply means a few more conversations with more people the bigger the business. As for industries, there is very little difference in approach.
As for the industry, you and your team are the domain experts, and this information is extracted during the discovery part of the process. I am intentionally agnostic to give you the best result, you bring the in the trenches up close and personal view, I bring the 3rd party perspective, when they are used together they are powerful.
Not necessarily, though it is good to get insights from everyone who feels they have some to offer. And culturally it can be useful to include everyone in the process.
